Tight Curl Educators & Curl Stylists

Meet the two women behind Black Girl Curls + Cut It Kinky

Black Girl Curls PHILOSOPHY

Wash Day doesn't exist over here. We do Wash Hour and we're in and out at around 60-90 minutes. Headed to brunch, hanging out with friends, catching a workout, and just generally living life.

You’ll never catch us making volcanos and salad dressings to put on our hair as we believe that all those bananas, avocados and rice would be much better in your belly. We deal with facts and science because hair isn’t a crapshoot and the idea of trial and error is complete trash!

We don’t believe in LOC or LCO, we’re still waiting to see some beautiful hydrated hennaed hair, wash day isn’t an all day activity, your twist outs should make it past lunch time, and for the love of all things good, twisting your hair nightly shouldn’t be a thing EVER.

Meet Aishia

CEO of Black Girl Curls

Aishia is a beauty blogger turned licensed cosmetologist. Going natural in 2011 lead her to the same place it leads most naturals...the Internet. It was the quest for accurate information that eventually lead her to enrolling in cosmetology school in the fall of 2015.

Front loading her education with numerous curly hair classes and workshops has given her massive insight into the technical and mental aspects of curls. In her 6 short years as a licensed stylist, she has had a major impact on the way consumers see tight curls.

CEO of Cut It Kinky

Aeleise is a veteran cosmetologist and long time curl nerd who is licensed in Illinois, Georgia, and California. While she understands ALL the curls in the imaginary curl alphabet, she's laser focused on the curls and culture for the tight curl professional.
