Black Curl Magic
Black Curl Magic is a digital hub dedicated to educating Naturalistas on the art and science of their curly + natural hair
Wash Day doesn’t exist over here.
We do Wash Hour and we’re in & out at around 60-90 minutes. Headed to brunch, hanging out with friends, catching a workout, and just generally living life.
You’ll never catch us making volcanos and salad dressings to put on our hair as we believethat all those bananas, avocados and rice would be much better in your belly. We deal with facts and science beause hair isn’t a crapshoot and the idea of trial and error is complete trash!
We don’t believe in LOC or LCO, we’re still waiting to see some beautiful hydrated hennaed hair, wash day isn’t an all day activity, your twist outs should make it past lunch time, and for the love of all things good, twisting your hair nightly shouldn’t be a thing like EVER.
What We Do
The SeeSomeCurls Digital Library is a resource for tight curly + natural hair consumers and enthusiasts that is curated by licensed professionals to help you simplify your haircare, master a signature style, and get your mind and hair salon ready.
Join us as we disrupt the curl paradigm. The Curls Disrupted Podcast was started because mainstream beauty outlets weren’t teaching relevant or accurate information to or about the folks that look just like us. Folks who spend thousands of dollars yearly and are still unsatisfied with the services and products marketed to us.
Having a hard time finding a stylist that speaks your language as a natural enthusiast? Since 2017 we have been training licensed cosmetologists SEE your curls with Cut It Kinky.
Take a look to see if we have a professional in your area.
We Are Your Digital Tight Curl Artists
We are Aeleise + Aishia. Moms to small humans, digital content creators, licensed hairstylists, brand agnostic curl educators, and generally your snarky girlfriends with no filter.
Our hair is only picture ready about 60% of the time, but we absolutely adore the curls we get to care for in the salon and online.
We’ve been shifting minds and follicles as Black Girl Curls since 2015.
We’re turning hair around overhere . . . getting your tight curly + natural hair in condition, making wearing your real hair easy, serving up representation, directing y’all to thefolks you need (dermatologists/stylists), and preparing you to have fun with your hair with cuts, color, alternative styling.
We are completely independent, no sponsors or advertisers. And while we may be entertaining, your hair isn’t entertainment to us.
