See Some Curls Digital Library is a resource for tight curly natural hair consumers and enthusiasts that is curated by licensed professionals to help you simplify your haircare, master your signature style and get your hair salon ready. The library includes always accessible full length, consumer friendly cosmetology classes, prerecorded in salon demonstrations of wash and go services, archives of previous live classes, and The Society, our discussion forum helmed by Black Girl Curls peer mentor stylists and us (Aeleise Aishia).
Membership to the See Some Curls Digital Library is $45 for 30 day access, which allows you to get your feet wet with the content mentioned above. For those that are committed to their curl journey and need more time to digest the information, you can purchase 90 day access for $105. Since it’s an access pass for a designated time period, it is non-refundable and there’s no need to cancel.
Wash Your Damn Hair is a comprehensive eGuide written by us (Aeleise Aishia) which serves as a salon proven guide for healthy curls. Wash Your Damn Hair will not make you an expert in tight curls, however it is an impactful resource for you to become salon ready so you can make the most out of your appointment with a curl professional. Wash Your Damn Hair is not available for purchase at this time, but be sure to sign up for our email list for updates on its return.

Before we even get into hair product recommendations and you race to the store to spend your hard earned coins, we strongly advise you to first learn understand the foundation of your hair and how it behaves. Once you get the foundation down, both See Some Curls and Wash Your Damn Hair provide curated product lists that have been tested in the salon on hundreds of our own clients.

Curl professionals listed in our Cut It Kinky Alumni Directory have completed all education necessary for Cut It Kinky, have formally applied to be listed in the directory, and have given their permission to be listed. With that being said, we cannot vouch for any curl professionals not included in the directory but encourage you to do your due diligence and research in finding partnering with a professional in your area.
First, you can spread the word! Kindly encourage stylists in your area to check us out and sign up for Cut It Kinky if they’re interested in continuing their education with tight curls. Secondly, we recommend searching relevant hashtags on social media like #curlspecialist, #curlartist, #curlyhair with your city abbreviations at the end to find stylists. And last but not least, don’t be afraid to reach out to friends family on the interwebs and ask about their stylist recommendations if they’re serving bomb curls.
